Applied Information Services, LLC (“Applied,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to this website. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

Information you provide directly. When you submit the research intake form on this site, we collect your name, organization, email address, phone number (if provided), and the details of your inquiry. This information is transmitted to and stored by Formspree, Inc., our form processing provider.
Automatically collected information. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager, ID: G-CWY00FKP9J) to collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location derived from IP address. This data is collected in aggregate and is not directly linked to your identity.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain the content of that correspondence.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to respond to research inquiries, improve the website, and understand how visitors use our services. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Formspree. Research intake form submissions are processed by Formspree, Inc. Formspree's privacy policy governs the handling of data submitted through their platform.
Google Analytics. Website usage data is collected by Google LLC via Google Analytics. Google's privacy policy governs that data. Visitors in the EU/UK should be aware that this constitutes a transfer of personal data to the United States. Google Analytics only loads after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
Substack. The JANN newsletter is published and managed on Substack. If you subscribe to JANN, your subscription data is governed by Substack's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Stripe. Payment processing for research deposits and fees is handled by Stripe, Inc. Applied does not store payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
Data Retention
We retain research inquiry data for as long as necessary to respond to and manage the engagement. Web analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings. A formal retention schedule will be published with the full Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
